Since
1994 we have completed many hundreds of hours involved in aerial
photography and during this time we have developed techniques
and experience
that
enable us to photograph a diversity of subjects from single
items of plant to large panoramic views illustrating the
environment surrounding a site.
We have the experience to know which type of aircraft
best suits a particular subject requirement. We have good
contacts with experienced pilots throughout the UK &
Ireland for both fixed and rotary wing aircraft and regularly
work from both.
Our
on going, long term contracts for the civil engineering industry
means we are flying regularly over large areas of the UK &
Ireland. Consequently, we are able to offer very competitive
rates for photographing sites within and around these areas.
Hard Hat
Photography complies with aviation law as set out in Civil Aviation
Authority flight regulation 5 and Air Navigation Order article 130.
The formet relates to minimum flying heights (Generally 500 ft
AGL over green field sites & 1500 ft AGL over built up areas,
large cities may require twin engined aircraft).
The latter refers to licencing of aircraft. (The operator of
any aircraft carrying passengers on a commercial flight must posess
an Air Operators Certificate).
Many commercial
photographic policies actively exclude aerial photography. Hard Hat
Photography carries specific insurance to cover both direct employees
and sub contract operators.
